Purchase of a Xeleris console: efficiency gain

In nuclear medicine, it’s important that all doctors have a Xeleris console at their disposal to interpret the tests that have been performed, such as PET/CT scans, which are used to detect cancer early and follow its progression, evaluate the effectiveness of a treatment and detect the first signs of Alzheimer’s disease. Given that a physician had recently joined HMR’s nuclear medicine team and in light of the volume of test requests, the department needed to acquire an additional console to avoid the loss of efficiency created by the need to share consoles. In 2016, the console provided by the Foundation led to an efficiency gain that benefited patients, because the sooner a diagnosis is made, the sooner treatments can begin!
