Purchase of an ultrasound scanner for anesthesia research

Given the growing number of clinical research projects being carried out in HMR’s anesthesia department, acquiring a second ultrasound scanner was essential.

This new machine makes it possible to offer post-operative analgesia to many more patients. More specifically, the ultrasound scanner is used to find the best location for injections to effect analgesic nerve blocks for patients requiring general, gynecological, orthopedic, plastic, thoracic or urological surgery.
