Debout pour la Cause: a paddleboard race for the benefiting the patients at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont

Debout pour la Cause is a fundraising event combining a friendly paddleboard relay race with many surprises on water and on land. All in a festive atmosphere for the benefit of the well-being of patients at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (HMR).

Together, let’s get in the water and paddle for the cause!

Terms and conditions – fundraising

Subscription : $35/person

Each team must raise money fot the Together for the HMR Fund. 


Minimum age requirement is 18 years old.

Water shoes and a Transport Canada approved flotation jacket are mandatory.

One paddleboard per team is required.

The activity is for intermediate paddleboarders.

course_sup_Fondation_hmrTeams of 3 to 4 participants compete against each other in a friendly challenge that combines sports perseverance and fundraising. The amount raised at the end of the event will contribute to the Together for the HMR Fund

The challenge begins as soon as you register! The more donations you collect, the more your team will be advantaged at the start of the race! Teams who raised more than 2 500 $ may choose the project, in the HMR, to give their money.

The Together for the HMR Fund provides the Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (HMR) with the resources needed to maintain excellence in care, research, and teaching, which are at the heart of the Hospital’s ability to provide the best care and face future challenges.

By participating in Debout pour la Cause, you are contributing to this Fund, which supports:

  • the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
  • The training of health care personal.
  • Increased screening capacity.
