The flavors of Asia in the emergency room of the HMR

Michel Nguyen, Michel Lim and Mikhael Lopez pose in their restaurant
La Belle Tonki restaurant offered meals to the employees of Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (HMR). The owners also set up a platform to encourage their customers to make donations to provide meals to the medical staff.
With these donations, the restaurant team prepares meals that are then delivered to health care institutions, among which the HMR.
Supporting the front line (Tonki style)!
The owners, Michel Nguyen, Michel Lim and Mikhael Lopez, launched this initiative in early May. Since then, they have already served over 300 meals:
- 212 from their La Belle Tonki restaurants.
- 24 thanks to their first donors.
- 72 in collaboration with Merci Meals MTL.
The positive effect is such, and the messages of thanks are so touching, that it pushes them to continue and intensify their action.
How does it work?
- Every $10 allows to buy a meal.
- When you donate 5 meals, they mention your name when announcing meals on social networks.
- When you donate 10 meals, they mention your name on the meal packaging and on the social networks.
Where do the meals go?
- The first served were among the three owners’ contacts, trying to choose a different establishment each time.
- Although they can deliver meals throughout the Greater Montreal area, they focus on establishments located near the restaurant.
- To date, about 60 meals have been distributed at the HMR, including in the emergency room.
If you want to encourage this initiative, contact them.
An evening at the restaurant
As, deconfinement begins, do not hesitate to go and discover the savoury cuisine of their two restaurants (La Belle Tonkinoise and La Belle Tonki). It’s also a nice way to thank them.
