The Elite of Piedmont Wine at Montréal Passion Vin!

Vignoble SandroneIn the space of only a few years, Luciano Sandrone’s cuvées have carved out a niche among the best Piedmont wines. From humble beginnings, Luciano began his career as a cellar master at the historical Marchesi di Barolo estate, before he was able to afford his own parcel of land in Cannubi, in 1977.

At the time, he crafted his wines at home in his parent’s garage with his brother Luca. Working meticulously, he did not hesitate to revise his approach to the vineyard or to vinification. Thus, he opted for organic farming, very low yields, relatively short maceration times and he chose to age the wines in neutral 600-litre barrels. The result is a unique style of Barolo reconciling both modern and traditional approaches. The wines are elegant, supple and approachable when young while remaining robust, structured and full-bodied enough to age for several years.

SandroneThese days, wine lovers fight over Sandrone wines. Montréal Passion Vin is very pleased to offer participants this special access to the elite of Piedmont wines!

To highlight these Piedmont crus, there is no better way than to pair them with the highly sought-after cuisine of Hoogan et Beaufort, one of the best restaurants in Montréal! Opened by Marc-André Jetté in 2015, Hoogan et Beaufort offers modern cuisine using Quebec products cooked over a wood fire. As a matter of fact, in 2017, the restaurant was listed as one of the top 100 in Canada.
