Domaine de la Vougeraie, Renowned for its Biodynamics

Join us for the next edition of Montréal Passion Vin and enjoy the privilege of discovering THE ultimate reference for lovers of Burgundian wine: Domaine de la Vougeraie!

Created in 1999 by grouping together the Boisset family’s most beautiful terroirs, Domaine de la Vougeraie quickly became a crucial player in the industry. The name of the estate comes from the famous Vougeot appellation, of which it has ten hectares, namely the Clos Blanc de Vougeot Monopole, one of its rare white wines.

Using a biodynamic approach since 2001, Domaine de la Vougeraie is based in Premeaux-Prissey. It is comprised of some fifty hectares that produce forty or so cuvées, depending on the vintage. In terms of size, it is considered the largest estate in Burgundy using biodynamics!

The Domaine excels with six Grands Crus: Musigny, Bonnes Mares, Clos de Vougeot, Charmes-Chambertin, Mazoyères-Chambertin and Colline de Corton, in red and white. It is initially under the direction of Quebec’s own Pascal Marchand that the wines of Domaine de la Vougeraie found their identity, one in which finesse, purity and gourmandise become one. Later, Pierre Vincent raised the biodynamics to a very high level. Today, the talented Sylvie Poillot brilliantly maintains the rhythm and reputation of the estate.

Montréal Passion Vin is honoured to present, for the very first time, the wines of Domaine de la Vougeraie. A moment of discovery that you absolutely must experience!
