The Scotiabank Charity Challenge has been postponed to September 26 and 27, 2020. What about your registration and your fundraising? We answer your questions.

Several options are available to runners already registered:

Option 1: Run virtually and support the charity of your choice during the Scotiabank Charity Challenge.

This option includes a kit for the virtual race, including a medal and a sweater (worth $ 35), a charitable donation of $ 20 to the organization of your choice (with tax receipt) and a credit of 20 $ applicable on a new Canada Running Series race, including the Scotiabank Charity Challenge of September 2020 or April 2021. Some restrictions apply.

What is a virtual race?

A virtual race is running or walking the distance you have chosen for the Challenge (1, 5, 10, or 21 km), anywhere, anytime, with anyone, while receiving your medal at home!

Scotiabank Montreal Virtual 21K is scheduled between May 25 and August 31, 2020, but this may change depending on municipal and provincial guidelines on social distancing.

Option 2: Transfer your registration for another race in which you will participate in person.

This option includes a registration valid for a new Canada Running Series race, including the Scotiabank Charity Challenge in September 2020 or April 2021. Some restrictions apply.

Option 3: Get a refund

By choosing this option, you will get a refund of your registration fees and you will not be registered for a new race.

Please note that refunds will exclude processing fees paid to Race Roster at the time of registration.

When and how to choose?

You have until midnight on Thursday, April 30 to decide which option you will choose.

Once you have made your choice, follow these steps to register for your new date:

  1. Click on Dashboard Participant.
  2. Enter the email address linked to your Race Roster account.
  3. Tick off “Yes, I have a password”.
  4. Enter your password.
  5. Find the icon “Scotiabank 21K Montreal 2020” and click on “View registration”
  6. Click on “Change Registration Data”.
  7. Refresh your selection by specifying your choice.

What happens after April 30?

After April 16, you will be automatically registered for Option 2.

What happens to my fundraising?

If you have chosen option 1, your fundraising continues until the end of the virtual race (August 31, 2020).

If you have chosen option 2 or option 3, your fundraising will be put on hold. All the funds you have already collected will be transferred directly to your team and will go to the Foundation.

In all cases, you can continue your solicitation by inviting those around you to donate on the Foundation page. This is the best way to show your support and your solidarity with patients and all health professionals at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital. Now is the time to help each other and support them. The delay gives you more time to increase and encourage your pool. Thank you for being there for them.
