A Giant Leap Toward the Medicine of Tomorrow Thanks to a Generous $3 Million Donation from Sandra Chartrand and Alain Bouchard

Inspired by the countless possibilities offered by cellular therapy to treat cancer, Sandra Chartrand and Alain Bouchard donated $3 million to support this cutting-edge research at the HMR. What an invaluable gift for the many patients who will benefit from these phenomenal advances in regenerative medicine. Their contribution will have a direct impact on clinical research at the HMR.

On April 16th, donors, collaborators and friends of the Foundation gathered to pay tribute to Sandra Chartrand and Alain Bouchard, two visionary philanthropists who have been incredibly generous to the HMR. In their image, it was a touching evening full of warmth; members of the business community were there to express their gratitude and admiration to the couple.

The HMR Foundation feels extremely fortunate to be able to count on such generous donors! In recognition of this exemplary donation, the future centre will be named: The Sandra and Alain Bouchard Integrated Cancer Centre. This centre, the only one of its kind in Québec to offer cellular therapy, will become the home of avant-garde practices and innovative therapies for the well-being of cancer patients.

The couple is extremely proud to be involved in this project: “We are very pleased to be associated with the promising cellular therapy research being done at the HMR, an extraordinary hospital that is so in need of our support.
