On November 8th, the 7th edition of the À Votre Santé! fundraising event launched the grand Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont Foundation weekend of festivities by raising $267,639. The Champagne evening, which was created by and for Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (HMR) Foundation goodwill ambassador Dominique Michel, gathered 400 guests at the Port of Montreal’s Grand Quay in support of the cellular therapy revolution at the HMR.
Guests discovered three great bottles of renowned Veuve Clicquot Champagne, paired with bite-sized delicacies by Ferreira. Delectable Champagne, elegant hors d’oeuvres, brightly coloured stilt walkers and a magnificent view of the Saint-Laurent : All of the elements to create a lively and unique ambiance!
The exclusively female Organizing Committee was chaired by Johanne Claveau, Portfolio Manager and Vice-president, National Bank Financial – Wealth Management. “The organization and success of this evening are the result of outstanding collaboration between 16 dynamic and committed business women, inspired by Dominique Michel’s courage. On behalf of the HMR patients that they are helping, the HMR Foundation wishes to express its deepest gratitude,” underlined Lucie Drapeau, Executive Director, HMR Foundation.

During the evening, Dominique Michel reminded guests of “the importance of celebrating life together, while continuing to support the development of new treatments for cancer patients”. In fact, this 7th edition celebrated the 7th year of remission for the great lady of comedy.
The Foundation wishes to thank participants for their presence and their generosity. Many thanks also to presenting partner, the SAQ, to event partner, National Bank Financial—Wealth Management, and to both major donor partners, Fasken and Québecor. Their contribution will enable HMR researchers to invest themselves fully in the development of “living drugs”, revolutionary treatments that are able to cure certain cancers and other incurable diseases.
